Scott's Experience at the Health, Wellness & Quality of Life Day

I found the Health,Wellness and Quality of Life session to be very enriching.  The Hy-Vee presentation by Mike Christensen I greatly enjoyed.  I like how he gave a brief history on how he became as successful as he is today.  His comment on the US food supply being one of the healthiest in the world was interesting considering the negative facts so many people focus on.  I like how the YMCA and Sidner Ice Arena helps the community give everybody some sort of physical activity to do.  The dance class we participated in was at first a little awkward, but as it progressed I had a lot of fun.  I liked the tour of the Fremont Area Medical Center and the variety of jobs it employs.  The case study activity was very interesting to hear what other YLA members would do to resolve the problems.  One suggestion I would make is the NuVal Score scavenger hunt should be modified so that the minimum score to look for is feasible to find.  Overall I felt the session was productive and informative.
