Getting to Know Your Community Day-Bryant

Getting to know your community day was really fun. I didn't now much about Fremont's history until the day. It is exciting to learn about how Fremont came about. Even though it was hot out, the walking tour was awesome. It was a good day and I can't wait to work on my groups project.

Brooke's post on Getting To Know Your Community

Today we learned about Fremont. As much as I've been downtown I still learned a lot from that tour. The Love Larson Opera house your was my favorite. It was neat to see the upstairs and learn about the history of it. The most interesting part of The Opera House was the volunteer that they have had for four years. I'm looking forward to working on our project with my group and for the banquet next month.

Brooke's post on Ag & Natural Resources Day

Today we learned about the agriculture economy in Fremont. I enjoyed learning about the advanced technology that has to do with tractors. As gross as it was, I learned a lot at the Hormel tour. It really interested me to see all of the careers available in agriculture.

Agriculture & Natural Resources Day-Bryant

The Agriculture & Natural Resources day was very interesting. The meeting with Dan Sedar was very eye opening to me on how things get to the mayor and city council, through a staff report. The talk at Fontanelle was very interesting because it showed me how we need to manage water better. Hormel was an awesome tour! I had always wondered what was going on inside the plant. Purina food and Platte Valley were also great tours! The latest farm technology is amazing

Nathan's post on Agriculture & Natural Resources Day

The agriculture and natural resource day was very fun and exciting.  I learned a lot of different things about agriculture that I did not know before.  The Hormel tour was fun I learned that every part of the pig is used to maximize money earned and I also liked holding the pig head.  I also enjoyed the tour of the Platte Valley Equipment I learned that there are many different jobs needed to be in agriculture not just farmers.  I also liked getting to sit in the tractors and pressing the horn.  I can't want for our next meeting.
