February YLA
I thought it was cool to tour hormel and it was also fun to see the farms, although it was cold. I really enjoyed the tour of the cattle farm inside the bus!

I enjoyed going to the Ymca. The meetings about the new pool was something I enjoyed the most. I felt like I was getting involved and learning something that not many people know about. The class that we took with the elderly was a good time also. They had some funny things to say. I think they enjoyed our dancing too. Then when we went to the hospital it was interesting to see all the different rooms and sections they have. Most of the rooms I have never been in or around. (January Health and Wellness Day)

I enjoyed helping set up christmas decoration. The coloring was also fun. It was an activity that made me feel like a younger kid again but I liked it. Helping at the Salvation army was also fun. I never knew how many toys and canned goods they had. It was a blessing to help. I also liked the cookies we got at the end. The other thing I liked was getting a smile back at the end of the day from the workers at the Salvation Army. The coloring, putting up the tree and helping others was the highlight of my day. I enjoyed it all. (December Day of Service)

The day of service has been my favorite session so far. I really enjoyed decorating Care Corps and helping with their holiday plans. I also enjoyed ringing bells for the Salvation Army. It was my first time ever ringing bells, but it was fun and I want to do again sometime in the future. I am looking forward to see what our next session is like!

I had a great time at our December session. It was fun coloring ornaments for the "Blessing Tree." Although it was extremely cold, I also had a good time bell ringing; I was given hot chocolate by a kind citizen and it was a nice way to volunteer in the community. I am exited to tour the hospital at our next session!
