Bryant's post on City Government Day

I really enjoyed city government day. It was interesting to see how the power plant worked. I've never really understood how it worked until that day. The mock city council session was also very interesting for me. It was good to get an insight on how a council meeting would normally go. It was also fun learning about all the other projects. Also, it was good to debate issues that currently face our community. The lunch meeting was also informal In the fact it showed us how all the departments work together to run te city. I cannot wait until the next day!

Brooke's reflection on City Government Day

Today I learned a lot about our local government. I really enjoyed touring the power plant. I've lived in Fremont all of my life and I've never been in it. It's really cool how everyone has to be working together and communicating to keep Fremont with power. Our lunch with the city heads was very interesting and I learned a lot from them. The mock city council went very well. I think that everyone (presenters, city council members, citizens for or against an issue) did very well and was prepared for it. I'm glad I got to learn so much about our government.
