Orientation/Community & Social Services Day -
Getting
to see what Fremont had for those in need was something I did not know we had.
The people who volunteer or work in the places we visited were kind people. I
was interested in the Jefferson House, because some of my classmates live there
and I got to see how they lived. Care Core was also interesting to see.
Education Day -
Hearing
all the speakers was fun. My favorite part of the day was to hear First Lady
Sally Ganem talk to everyone. I thought differently of her before I met her but
once I met her I noticed she was just as normal as each and every one of us.
All of her stories were fun to listen to also.
Business & Economic Development Day -
I
never knew Fremont was trying to get a Branding campaign so, that was
interesting to learn. Then the power of a job speech had interesting facts.
I learned that most of the YLA participants do not want to come back to
Fremont after college. Also the Luncheon made me feel as though I was in a job,
and made me understand how a real job would feel. I also learned Fremont has Jayhawk
Boxes. I did not know the importance of boxes.
