Ryan C's Post on Community & Social Services Day

On November 23, 2011 we toured some of the facilities in Fremont that provide community services.  We toured Salvation Army, Low Income Ministry, Care Corps, Habitat for Humanity, Lutheran Family Services, Jefferson House, Red Cross and Crisis Center.  We also learned about the Teammates mentoring program.  I really liked this day because all these services are so important to many people in Fremont.  It is important for communities to have these services available.  If we didn't have them the people in need would have no one to turn to for help.  By helping those less fortunate we will make our community stronger as a whole.
